listening: the hum of my air conditioner reminds me that summer in the Northeast is quickly coming to its finale. Which also reminds me that I have this to look forward to:
Though he is awfully cute (if I do say so myself), the snow is something I can't get used to even after living here for over 10 years.
loving: YEAH...Logan is finished with day camp tomorrow. Yes, he will be sad not to see his amigos AND I certainly was able to get a TON of work done these last two weeks but I am so happy to spend some mommy/son time before heading back to work. We also are leaving for our final camping trip of the summer. Four nights in a tent...lucky me :)
thinking: I really need to face reality and go here.....
But where I usually end up is here:
wanting: Everyone to love our new blog! Colleen and I are super duper excited to meet new teachers and share ideas!
needing: I desperately need a new teacher's bag. Mine is shameful, embarrassing, and belongs in a garbage can. I love the quality of Lands End but maybe I should get something a little flashier. Suggestions?
B2s must haves: A close friend introduced me to Tervis Tumblers this summer. Genius!! After visiting her down in Florida, I found a RED SOX Tervis. Hello!!
My second must have is mandatory since I am not a coffee drinker...
AND FINALLY...drum roll please....to celebrate the last days of the summer we wanted to share a fabulous product on TpT by Top Seller Deanna Jump. The packet is the first in a series. The skills covered in this unit are beginning sounds, rhyming, phonemic awareness, syllables and CVC words. There are 35 message skeletons that focus on beginning skills. The messages are available in 3 formats: color, black and white and clipart images to create large charts if desired. What a PERFECT resource for my Kindergarten and First Grade teacher friends. Check it out!!
And for my Second Grade Friends, please download our FREEBIE "Mirror Mirror on the Wall". It's a great game to reinforce y as long e and y as a suffix!
I do love your new blog! It's adorable! Good luck on your new blogging adventure! I'm window shopping for a new bag too but will probably just use the one I have! The ladies at work love Ann Taylor. I never bought anything from there and may just have to make a point to check it out! You're Logan is just too cute! Have fun on your camping trip!

Courtney,
DeleteEVERYONE is talking about the thirty-one bag. I will definitely check out your store! How long do they usually take to ship? I'm in Massachusetts.
Stacy
Diet Coke is a definite must have! I love Ann Taylor/Loft but we don't have one here. :-( I also LOVE your blog! - it is beautiful!!!

Thanks again, Lisa!!
DeleteI received a Land's End bag from a student one year and LOVED it, but my husband stole it to use for my daughter's daycare bag. Although, it's still in GREAT shape. Thirty-one bags seem to be all the rage, but I don't have one. I'm not really sure why I have a teacher bag. I only carry it from my classroom to the car and back to the classroom...it never makes it inside the house.
ReplyDeleteJen,
DeleteLOL! I'm the same way. Nothing ever creeps out of the bag at home.
Stacy
I like the Land's End bag idea. The ones in your pic are fun. Make it flashy with a fun scarf tied around the handle or something.
ReplyDeletePS You had me at READING.

Colleen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Saw that you live in Syracuse. I grew up outside of Binghamton, New York. Haven't been to Syracuse in years but did buy some Dinosaur BBQ at Wegmans when I was home visiting my parents last.
Thanks for the tip about Ann Taylor. If you are near an
Ann Taylor Factory Store, check it out. The deals are amazing!!
